Job Description:

The Head of Card Fraud Analytics will play a crucial role in leading and identifying opportunities in the Fraud Analytics space. This could lead to creation of new squads, work with key stakeholders to mitigate Fraud and develop the right analytics strategy for the specific domain area. This position will provide thought leadership and will take ownership and accountability for the analytical solution being proposed. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of Lead Analysts, Principle Analysts and Senior Analysts both onshore and offshore. The areas that could involve are card transaction fraud, digital payment and application/account take over fraud. Among the various typologies – this role will lead and deliver on a specific set of typologies relating to Card Fraud and Scams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive change for specific areas under Fraud typologies
  • Leadership for people and projects related to specific fraud typology analytics
  • Delivers value for the UK Fraud Analytics through data, analysis, reporting and insight. Harnessing the value that is available from robust information in relation to channel performance and customer behaviour.
  • Develop programs which automate data collection, assimilation, aggregation and visualisation.
  • Leads the development, testing and maintaining mathematical models and predictive models for use by internal stakeholders and data analytic teams.
  • Carry out statistical tests to detect correlations and causality on large and complex data sets.

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience primarily in analytics banking/finance or Fraud.
  • Proven experience in using advanced analytics and machine learning to solve large complex problems
  • A relevant first numerate degree in either mathematics, statistics, computer science (or equivalent quantitative area) or business, media, communications with quantitative background.
  • Subject Matter expertise in Fraud Analytics and allied areas
  • Proven knowledge and experience of SQL and other Database/Data Manipulation tools
  • Expertise in data visualisation tools and techniques – previous experience with Qliksense, Tableau or similar
  • Good working knowledge of analytics tools – Python/R/SAS/SPSS/STATA
  • Team management experience with leading and building diverse teams to support fraud analytics solutions
