Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager Civil Construction & Maintenance and working collaboratively across Council, the Restorations and Assets Officer will coordinate and manage the utilities and contractors undertaking work within Council’s road reserve and ensure they are accredited, approved, and undertake the work in accordance with Council’s policies and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engagement of sub-contractors to undertake the works
  • Maintaining forward-planning schedule for various activities.
  • Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for proposed work for budgetary purposes.
  • Providing guidance and advice to staff on technical matters to enable work to carried out in cost-effective and safe manner.
  • Providing supervision to teams and individuals.

Job Requirements:

  • With appropriate qualifications or experience gained within the context of complex service delivery,
  • you will have a proven track record in the delivery of efficient services by coordinating, organising and controlling works by third parties within Councils road reserve.
  • You will have demonstrated knowledge of Utility Restorations, Public Domain Works, Road Opening Permits and Driveways applications and inspections.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills will be critical to success in this role.
