Job Description:

The incumbent will serve as a senior budget analyst utilizing a professional knowledge of budget principles and procedures in carrying out complex assignments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Formulate and apply the foundations and concepts of computer science to address complex public health informatics data.
• Conduct critical computer analysis and in-depth investigations to identify the most feasible approaches to complex hardware/software/networking system design and development problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Serve as an expert advisor and provides leadership for broad and complex public health informatics programs that advance the state of the art.
• Conceptualize, research, and direct an array of major information technology related investigations to define and overcome major prototype design and development problems.
• Provide regular and recurring advisory services on the selection, development, use, and design of systems and technologies.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
• Minimum Qualifications for GS-14:Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph.
• Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience planning, organizing, and directing public health informatics and analyzing public health data.
