Job Description:

The U.S. Secret Service is seeking retired (CSRS/FERS) individuals to support our integrated mission and immediately impart their knowledge and experience to the current workforce.  If re-employed under a Dual Compensation Hiring Authority with an OPM approved salary off-set waiver granted to the Secret Service, annuitants are able to earn their full salary and their full annuity without penalty.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working with special agents and technical personnel to research and provide analysis related to research, criminal financial investigations and crime trends; developing investigative leads, making resource allocation recommendations and case clearances/closures.
• Representing the Secret Service on issues relating to criminal analysis and research; work in groups and teams; and obtain understanding and support from management.
• Using computer databases, electronic spreadsheets, desktop publishing, GIS/mapping software, word processing, statistical applications and specialized software applications to manipulate, analyze and present financial and investigative information; and developing and maintaining new geographic data layers.
• Acting as a liaison with other law enforcement agencies and government and private sector entities regarding law enforcement issues; facilitating the exchange of tactical criminal information and intelligence between agencies and participating as a member in federal, state and local law enforcement task-forces and partnerships.
• Performing computer-based analysis of data for investigative cases; reviewing, evaluating, recommending, and specifying available computer software, peripherals and network hardware, specifically related to criminal analysis and investigative data retrieval.

Job Requirements:

• You must demonstrate at least one (1) year of the defined Specialized Experience and meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR).
